Faith to walk through the open door – Pt:1
God has predestined generations and people, for such a time as this. God did not will for His people to wonder in the desert for 40 yrs. It was only an 11-day journey, but they missed it. We are here today, because the prior generations failed to walk through the open doors. We will not be that generation, we will not be that people, will you?
Revelation 3:7-8, “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and now one will shut, who shuts and now one opens. “’I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. . .” (ESV)
Some doors you can pray for, and some doors God opens even though you did not ask for them. People are afraid to walk through open doors, typically out of fear. God does not push people through those doors, it is your choice. Another way you miss doors God has for you, is by praying for something and expecting it to look the way you want it. Instead of listing intently on what He has for you, not what you want for you. All are opportunities to trust God and for God to trust you. It is a good thing we cannot see through the doors and need to lean into God to trust the unknown He has for us. Most people, if they saw what was through some of the doors, wouldn’t even walk through them. Seeing there are trials and tribulations. We need to see a different side to it; it is better to face the risk and pay the cost. Why? Don’t you know? On the other side of that door, you will see the blessings God has waiting just for you! Open doors are just stair steps to your destiny. But you need to be a person of faith, not a person of fear to get there. You also cannot look for the blue door you are expecting and miss the purple door God has for you. He knows you and your desires, He also knows what is best for you even when you do not. You are supposed to be here, in this time, for a purpose. A purpose God has just for you.
In Exodus, you will see that even Moses had to have faith to walk through open doors. Just like Moses, if all you have is a stick, do not think God won’t anoint what you have, to do His will. You are and you have, what it takes. God’s people didn’t expect Moses to be their open door, …but he was! Did you ever think that you, you could be God’s intended open door for someone? That God could use you, exactly where you are at, to do His will? What a humbling and joyous revelation!
In Exodus 5:21 we see the people show doubt, fear, and procrastination. All of these can cause you to miss it these precious doors God sets before us. Do not judge God for what things look like, either. The door might land you in a swamp, but if you keep going, you will find God’s provision and dry land to dry your pringled up feet out on(lol). Do not hesitate, but also do not get ahead of God’s schedule. I know, easier said than done. There is never a perfect time to trust God, but abide in Him and you will find more than you even thought was possible!
1 Corinthians 16:9, “for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” (ESV)
!WARNING! Every time God opens a door, there is adversity. Make sure you are not deceived! The devil will be there, trying to get you to go back the way you came. He wants to keep you from the blessing and the doors to come. Just like the people at the Red Sea, do not curse God in front of the challenges. Trust that he will get you through it. The devil will see you the same way you see yourself in Christ. Are you a tadpole or whale? Are you a victim or a victor?
Let’s keep a few things in mind,
✔️Risk Takers: Risk everything.
✔️Caretakers: Are content to take care of what they have and do not go forward.
✔️Undertakers: They tend to dead dreams and long for the opportunities they did not take. Do not live in regret of the opportunities you missed.
Living by faith is the great adventure! Be prepared for battles and prepared for great victories!
Are you ready to step faithfully & boldly in the doors God sets before you?
