Revelation 12:11, “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” (ESV)
There is a difference between living as an overcomer and being called an overcomer. Like someone winning the lottery who has never been rich, they are typically and sadly loose it all. Like if you were speaking you are poor, you will inevitably be poor. There is a mindset to being an overcomer and your words are the container to living as one. Small foxes spoil the vine, even the small words in your life and out of your mouth can take root. This is simply stating, you will never rise about your own confession. Hurtful, but truthfully powerful! Taming your tongue is one of the most important things in this life. Whether positive or negative, your words will take root.
Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (ESV)
Friend, God’s plan for you, is the way He looks at you. He sees you prospering not going under. He sees you full of peace, He sees you thriving in life. He does not see you surviving but THRIVING! You are an overcomer, and you will overcome sickness, loss, addiction, and anything that comes against you, by the blood of The Lamb! You were created to thrive in this life! Live it, act it, operate like an overcomer! You are not here just to exist! You are not a nobody; you are a somebody who is here to make a difference! As long as you have breath, you have an opportunity to live as the overcomer God made you to be. You may not know it, but people are watching you. Your children, your coworker, your neighbor, they are watching how you choose to live through your trials. What you do in your trails, sets a memory on how they will approach trails in their life.
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (ESV)
God does not make nobodies. You need to awaken the potential that is inside of you! You were made with so much potential; it’s all waiting to burst forth. How do you awaken that person, you say? With the word of your testimony! Every word you speak will either awaken or suppress that potential. God desires for you to live in the potential He gave, in the potential of an overcomer.
You will face tribulations, but you can have peace. Those that have been born in Christ can live as an overcomer, because He has overcome the world. You are coheirs with Christ! When it says, “He overcame”, that is credited to your account. It is a new covenant sealed by the blood of the lamb. This is why your testimony, your confession, is so important! When the devil walks up to open his month, you can look at him and say, I AM AN OVERCOMER BY THE BLOOD GET BEHIND ME! Glory halleluiah! You can’t live as an overcomer, if there is nothing to overcome in life. You cannot live as a conqueror, if there is nothing to conqueror. Either God’s word is true, or it is not. Do not stop speaking truth. Read His word and stand on His promises!
Proverbs 21:23, “Whoever keep his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.” (ESV)
OH! We need to address the elephant in the room. . . Stop complaining! Yes, we are absolutely talking about this. Stop hindering your walk with your mouth. All you do is magnify the mountain in front of you by complaining. Bring your attention to God and pay attention to your choices of life or death. What is your confession? On the flip side, the people around us matter by what they deposit into us, too. And let us not overlook what we are speaking into the lives around us. Be attentive to your words, not just for yourself, but those around you. The words that you release every day, either put you in agreement with heaven or in agreement with hell. Now go back and read that about 10 more times or until it sinks in. For those who have had this revelation in life, do not live in an area of failed confessions. That is not God’s plan for you. But live and operate in confessions of faith.
Keep this in mind, beauty is not in the eye of the beholder, but the confession of the beholder. Your confession is not magical, but it is supernatural! God has given us a road map on how to overcome in this life. Your mouth is the gateway to living and operating as an overcomer. Matthew 4 is an example of how important confession is. How did Jesus, being tempted in the wilderness, overcoming everything? It was by the word of HIS TESTOMONY. He lived by every word of God, it IS written! Don’t you think it is a good idea to imitate Jesus in your time of temptations and trials? Satan will not flee from us if we do not open up our mouth and tell him to flee. Don’t let him linger! It would be so sad, to just be labeled and overcomer and never live like it. Come into agreement with what God says about you and confess what God says about you.
Live as an Overcomer!
